We’ve heard of guerilla filmmaking, but this certainly takes the cake. Using nothing more than the on-game footage of Grand Theft Auto IV, Mathieu Weschler created a bona fide feature-length movie. With a run time of just under one hour and thirty minutes, The Trashmaster tells the tale of a garbage man who moonlights as a bank robber. The film’s (yes, we think it deserves to be called a film) opening sequence is just about the most exciting/thrilling one since Christopher Nolan’s 2008 masterpiece, The Dark Knight. Well done, Weschler, you make Park Chan-Wook look like a talentless hack.
