Sony has announced the upcoming release of its first official PlayStation app for the Android and iPhone platforms.The Android and iPhone PlayStation app allows you to check out the trophies on Sony PlayStation network and stay up to date with the latest games (for PS2, PS3 and PSP) and friend’s games etc. You can also share news and links via email, Facebook and Twitter.

The free PlayStation app will launch soon for the iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices running version 1.6 or later. The app will initially be available in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, with additional markets to follow.
