ZOTAC needs no introduction when it comes to graphics cards and tiny lunch box sized mini PCs. They kicked off the CES 2012 with three models of their second generation ZBOX mini PCs featuring various platforms – ZBOX ID81, ID 80 and AD04. These models are powered by the Intel Celeron 857 processor (1.2 GHz dual-core), Intel Atom D2700 processor (2.13 GHz dual-core) and AMD E-450 APU (1.65 GHz dual-core), respectively. The Atom D2700 processor on the ID 80 is clubbed with NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics processor (512 MB DDR3 dedicated), while the other two models use integrated graphics.
ZOTAC launches three new ZBOX mini PCs
The key features of all the three models are HDMI and DVI video outputs, integrated Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 adapters, bundled MCE-compatible IR remote control, 6-in-1 memory card reader and a pair of USB 3.0 ports. ZOTAC will offer the new ZBOX mini PCs in two variants. The regular version comes without memory and hard drive thereby giving the buyers the choice to install memory, hard drive / SSD and operating system of their choice. The ‘Plus’ version comes with 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 320 GB hard drive. The new ZBOXes will hit shelves in the next few weeks and the pricing will be as below with one year carry-in warranty.
