Nokia Link Beta for the N9 adds support for XP, Vista

For all those who own a Nokia N9, there’s good news. Nokia has launched a newer version of Nokia Link making it compatible with Windows XP and Vista as well. The app basically lets you sync your multimedia files on to your device and this is now supported on older versions of Windows as opposed to just Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7.

Some new added features, include the ability to copy mobile content to and from  smart playlists in Windows Media Player and iTunes, deleting files off the device is also more streamlined now. Previously, removing media, like music for instance, from the phone was quite a task, but that issue has been fixed in the new update. Although the application is still in Beta, the update brings with it many bug fixes and it should feel a lot more stable than before. Nokia Link will still not support syncing of contacts and calendar with Nokia Link, since you can do the same over the air.
