Computex this year has seen quite a few pieces of hardware like smartphones, tablets, laptops and so on. So here’s adding some more silicon to the party, Gigabyte has announced the Z68 Express Chipset series motherboards which will also include the world’s first motherboards to have mSATA onboard for Intel SLC SSDs that should enable Smart Response Technology. That’s not all though, there are some more motherboards like the G1-Killer series for gamers, the X58A-OC and Gigabyte’s newly launched AMD 900 series.

The Z68 motherboards support the second-generation Intel Core processors and that also includes the Z68XP-UDR which is touted to be the first standard desktop PC motherboard to feature onboard mSATA drive connectors.  Also featured on the GIGABYTE Z68 series motherboards is GIGABYTE Touch BIOS.

The gaming series G1-Killer motherboards will have the G1.Assasin, G1.Sniper and G1.Guerrilla. In addition, GIGABYTE will showcase the X58A-OC motherboard, their first overclocking specific, enthusiast designed motherboard.

On the AMD side, Gigabyte has announced the GIGABYTE 900 series motherboards, supporting the forthcoming 8-core AMD FX processors and also have models supporting both 4-way AMD Crossfire X and NVIDIA SLI for the very first time. The 900 series are based on the all new 990FX, 990X and 970 chipsets from AMD. These motherboards feature support for USB 3.0, SATA Revision 3.0 (6Gbps) and has an additional Marvell SATA 3.0 controller as well. Plus, like most of the latest motherboards, this one also has native support for 3 TB of disk pace without any need for partitioning on it.
