God of War IV in development?

After God of War III, Sony made it pretty clear they were done with Kratos’ adventures but now, certain job requirements posted across the net may suggest otherwise. According to a listing posted on Creative Heads, Sony Santa Monica is looking out for a Senior Staff Concept Artist to work on a God of War game. Here’s what the posting had to say, “Join the GOW team! The Santa Monica Studio is an open and creative environment, where we strive to make the best games in the industry. Join us as we embark on our next project."
Don't ever leave us Kratos
Don't ever leave us Kratos

Under platform, the only thing listed is PlayStation which means PS3, Vita or both. I’m more inclined to go with both since it’s a given that a God of War game will definitely make its way to Sony’s handheld console. What’s weird is that the game’s genre is classified as a Military / Combat which makes us wonder if the God of War series is making the transition to modern days. I don’t know how such a game would even play out but either way, I’m intrigued. We’ll keep you posted as and when we hear anything.

Thanks to Gameranx for the heads up.
