Valve finally rolled out its massive Christmas Steam sale late last night. This is probably the biggest sale on the planet for PC gamers so make sure you’re glued onto Steam for daily deals. Besides the daily deals, every publisher on Steam has his catalogue up for sale and depending on the game’s release date, you can grab them for anything between a 25 to a 75% discount.

Valve has even introduced something called The Great Gift Pile into the mix where you can win free games by performing objectives announced daily. These could range from something as simple as checking your Steam inventory to performing a certain action in a pre defined game. Even if you’re unlucky and end up with a lump of coal instead of a gift, you can craft your pieces of coal into a gift or save them all up and redeem them for Valve’s Epic Holiday Giveaway that’s going down on the 2nd of January 2012.
