Google joins O-Zone to offer free Wi-Fi access


In a bid to encourage the use of mobile Internet and have Wi-Fi access enabled on portable devices for using Google+ and YouTube, among other services, Google has cemented a promotional deal with public Wi-Fi provider, O-Zone Networks, reports Business Standard. As per the deal, users stand to avail unlimited, free access to Google+ over Wi-Fi networks across all O-Zone hotspots in the country. In addition to Google+, users will also be able to access YouTube. Users can watch exclusive movie clips for free, each week for a duration of 10 minutes.

The offer goes live this weekend, and will last through the next three months across India on all O-Zone Wi-Fi hotspots. The offer, reportedly will be more beneficial to users frequenting - Café Coffee Day, McDonalds, Café Oz, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Costa Coffee, Subway and OM Bookshop, among others. Speaking of the offer, Sanjeev (Bobby) Sarin, CEO, O-Zone Networks stated that, "This is a first-of-its kind promotional tie-up. This association between Google India and O-Zone Networks reinforces the fact that people are now realising the power of Wi-Fi."
